All the competitors are probably by now all rugged up and ready for a good night sleep. Most will continue with their coaching tomorrow which wraps up on Friday.
Congratulations to all those who competed. Especially to everyone who travelled a long way to be at the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron. We look forward to seeing you all next year.

Racing for the Inaugural OAMPS Insurance Brokers Qld Youth Week incorporating the Australian Midwinter Youth Championships is over!
The racing finished off with a rather large bang and the promised wind of 20 knots hit the course. There were a few boat causalities (broken masts, booms, lost mainsheets etc.) but everyone is A OK and looking forward to a hot shower, some warm food and the presentation!

The Start Boat is going into a start sequence for Race 2.
There is currently 15 to 18 knots on course…quite a few boats are capzizing!

Race 1 has started…the sabot’s and optimists are rounding the top mark!

The Start Boat has headed out to the course. There is wind in the trees. Hopefully we get the 15 knots that has been predicted!

The sun may be shining, but it’s still our chilliest morning of year to date!

The rain has finally cleared! The sun is out drying all the sailors gear and the giving the place a bit of a sparkle. Racing starts at 1000 hours today. The Race Committee hopes to get the final three races in so the champion of each division can be crowned in racing glory.
